Mission: AOI’s Health Policy Council works to identify issues affecting the three most important principles of health care: quality, access, and affordability. It is the goal of AOI, working in conjunction with legislative leaders, the Governor, and the business community, to find ways to address the many cost drivers in the system and help modernize delivery in our state. As technology, innovation and regulatory changes all play a role in shaping the accessibility and affordability of health care for Oregonians, it is time to consider the direction our current system should take to promote healthier Oregonians and a more affordable health care delivery system.
The Council: AOI’s Health Policy Council provides a forum for some of the most knowledgeable stakeholders in the health industry to discuss the many challenges to Oregon’s health care delivery system. The council also evaluates and develops legislative proposals that will help employers and Oregonians to afford quality health care in the future. As we approach the 2013 Legislative Session, AOI will continue to reach out to its members for their input on the many health care decisions facing them today.
